Handling & Storage
Handling the tank

Tanks are equipped with lifting lugs and should be lifted from these points.

Do not drop or hit the tank. Cracks may appear not immediately visible to naked eye.

Do not apply external pressure on the tank.

Use the tank in environmental temperature from -20°C to 70°C.

When storing the tanks, avoid stacking them or loading them with weights. Deformation may occur.
Positioning the tank

The support base must be even and strong enough to curry the weight of the full tank. Refer to our Products link and drawings to prepare the correct stand for each model.

Vertical tanks or horizontal tanks with feet can be positioned on flat, smooth and free of small rubble, stones or else in such a way that the surface of the tanks is not damaged.

Avoid positioning the tank near heat sources.

Always be advised by a professional for the ability of your structures to support the loads to be installed.
Underground installation

An engineer should arrange for a geological surveys before the tank is positioned underground, in order to test if the ground is subject to landslides and to detect possible water infiltrations. If the results permit such installation follow the procedure below. Otherwise it is absolutely necessary to build a containment wall to prevent the surrounding ground from slipping on the tank. Such containment wall must be watertight, whereas the access door should be built as a manhole.

Step 1

Dig a hole on the ground allowing approximately 30 cm space around the tank.
Step 2

Prepare a reinforced concrete base at the bottom of the hole to withstand the load. Wait until the concrete is dried.
Step 3

Place the tank on the concrete carefully, paying attention for any rocks NOT to fall underneath.
Step 4

Fill up the tank with water and check for any leakages. Tanks are always checked at our premises but there is a possibility of damage during transportation and handling.
Step 5

Backfill the opening with sand by using layers of 40 cm. Compact each layer properly. Construct a reinforced concrete plate on top if necessary. Please note that the tank should not experience any external pressure. The underground tank can be walked oven but not driven over. In addition, an adequate ventilation pipe must be installed on the tank according to the outlet flow.
Connecting the tank

First thing you have to do, is to remove the protective plastic cover off the thread. According to the connector used (male or female) apply the proper tightening torque.
